The Ocean Within - Mini Exhibition
We invite you to explore the virtual exhibition of The Ocean Within, a UN Ocean Decade endorsed activity.
This mini-exhibition was hosted at the Ocean Institute in Dana Point, California, during their Sharks After Dark event on August 14th, and remained on display throughout the weekend. The exhibition brings together artists from Moku Art Studio alongside DOSI (Deep-Ocean Stewardship Initiative) artists, united by a shared fascination with what the ocean holds beyond the reach of human sight, scientifically, culturally, and emotionally.
While this is a small, intentional show, we hope it serves as the beginning of something much larger: a proof of concept for what happens when ocean art, science, and advocacy share the same wall.
We’re glad you’re here.

We recommend viewing the map on a desktop. If you would like to see the map bigger, just click on the top right square. Every artist is placed on the map with a colored marker. When you click on the marker, you will see a window to the left of your screen with the name of the artist, their piece, the artist’s statement about their work, and a link to their website. Please click on the images so you can see the full image or video. If the artist has several pieces in the exhibition, you can scroll through them using the arrows.
